New Website?
Yay! Congrats on your new domain/sub domain! I bet you signed in to your ftp and said 'WTF?!' right? Because that's what I did when I first got my domain. So I made this page just for YOU! Who might need some help getting settled into your website. :)Follow these steps!
1. I use http://www.webftp.dreamhost.com for my FTP, go there if you don't know what service you should use. It's easy to use and that's what I'll be using in all of my tutorials.2. Enter your information your host gave you and click login; now follow the PHP tutorial below.
3.1 THIS IS ONLY FOR DOMAINS: You need to look for a folder named 'public html' click the name; then find the page that says 'index.(it could be php, html etc.) (if you dont have one, then ignore the rest of this step) check the box beside it and go up to the drop down menu towards the top right corner, click edit. Erase everything in that big white box area.
3.2 SUBDOMAINS: Once you sign in, you must make your first page. Go to the drop down menu in the top right corner and click 'new file;' Name the file index.php. 4. If you really did follow the PHP tutorial I have, you must put this code into the white box:
5. Click the floppy disc at the top, (meaning save) and you just made your first page!
